My dear friends,
How do you feel like coming back home? The same as right now I am sitting in front of my desk, facing a list of schedules of work, and feeling a bit lost? This morning I looked up the sky, seeing the typical Michigan gray, New Mexico seems so so far away, almost as if in my dream. However, I have to say it is so extraordinary that I would not dare to forget so easily. I feel somehow it will have a strong impact on my life, even I don't know what it is.
When I was waiting in Denver airport, I came out some words that I believe they are so true to me, and therefore I would like to share with all of you. "I look into others' souls, I see the reflection of mine." Did someone already say so, or it is Lin's Original? I don't know. But this last week of photo shooting is exactly like that. From those images of those people I met, I see a small piece of me there, no matter it is sadness or passion or desire.
This morning I heard a message from a woman I met a while back, and she told me that she will go to Cuba in August. She is an amazing woman, and I probably would love to go with her to experience that country. I also think about doing a photo project, taking pictures of the musicians in this town with their music instruments. So as you see, I am inspired and want to do more with my photography. Therefore, I want to thank you all for all the wonderful things you have offered me, the passion in your eyes, the beautiful works you did, the struggle we shared, the hug you gave, and the kind words you said.
Kathy
