Curious George (For children 4 to 8 years old)
http://pbskids.org/curiousgeorge/
【内容提要】:
The tale of Curious George is sweet and basic. George, an African monkey, is being raised by the Man in the Yellow Hat. The Man in the Yellow Hat tries very hard to care for George, however, complications frequently occur, typically George's naivety and curiosity get him and others into trouble.
The Man in the Yellow hat is typically able to save the day. On the rare occasions that things are beyond the Man in the Yellow Hat's control, George comes through and rights all wrong (usually George is the cause of the wrong). In the end, because George is just a helpless, innocent little monkey, everyone realizes that he is sorry for his actions, and they forgive him for causing trouble.
For over sixty years Curious George has been entertaining and educating young people. The concept of Curious George began as a series of children's books written by Margret and H.A. Rey in 1941. The books were immensely popular with children because George possessed so many child-like characteristics, and the plot was so basic and innocent.
In 1979 the Curious George books were turned into a cartoon so a wider audience could enjoy them.

Noddy Collection (For children 2 to 7 years old)
http://pbskids.org/noddy/
【内容提要】:
《Noddy began life in 1949 as the star of Enid Blyton's immensely-successful children's book Noddy Goes to Toyland, illustrated by Harmsen van der Beek. From there, it flowered into multitudes of toys, games, and TV series.
The first Noddy TV adaptation came in 1975, with the stop-action shorts produced by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall. The BBC followed up this success a few years later with the half-hour Noddy in Toyland. In 1998 PBS adapted their own version of Noddy as a sort of double-decker bus. The beloved Noddy stop-action films, produced by Brian Cosgrove and Mark Hall, were only part of a larger live-action story. In the eyes of some, PBS and Noddy had the right love at the wrong time.
As the half-hour Noddy was seeing its PBS exposure erode, the Enid Blyton company broke out a new enterprise of Noddy and his old friends in Toyland. That effort, recorded with the latest computer-generated imagery, so compatible with digital television, was titled Make Way For Noddy, as if to send a message to the public.
To borrow the lyrics of a Barry Manilow song, it was inevitable that "Somewhere Down The Road," the paths of Noddy and PBS would cross again. Thus, Make Way for Noddy debuted in PBS in Fall of 2005 in a half-hour version consisting of two of the 12 minutes episodes packaged with two new three minute interstitials entitled Say it With Noddy with Noddy learning new words in foreign languages with his friend Whizz, music videos, and a live-action host.

WordWorld (For children 3 to 6 years old)
http://pbskids.org/wordworld
WordWorld is the first preschool series where words are truly the stars of the show! Young children are introduced to a colorful, vibrant world of words with the lovable, legible WordFriends -- animals whose bodies are made up of the letters that spell the word they are. Sheep is painfully shy but loves to pretend. Frog is the cautious brainiac and word "expert." Duck is still learning his letters -- and social skills -- and often needs Frog to help him out of trouble.
Series Goals
To fascinate children with words and to inspire a love of words and reading.
Empower children as early readers by making the important connections between letters, sounds, words and meaning that are necessary for reading.
In each episode, the WordFriends go on comic adventures and face challenges that can only be resolved with the right word. That word is built letter by letter, sound by sound, during the funky "Build a Word" song at the end of every episode. Once the word is built, it "morphs"--comes alive--into the thing it is!
WordWorld is designed to introduce, support and foster emergent literacy skills in children ages three to five. The curriculum draws from four skill sets critical for young children’s emergent literacy: print awareness, phonological sensitivity and letter knowledge, comprehension (including vocabulary development) and socio-emotional skills.
