This was the question in a book I was reading the day before our trip to Granna's house for the week between Xmas and the New Year. In a way, it is asking what the most important thing is in one's life.

I knew it was not appropriate, and even cruel to ask the kids this kind of question since they hadn't lived long enough but had to imagine they only had three days to live. However, I was curious enough to know everyone's answer that I brought it up during our trip.

Daddy said he would get all his family members and friends together. I would like to do the same thing too to celebrate my life but I felt like I wanted to do something else too. I had this dream of travling around the world, which due to various reasons I could not do.  I wondered whether I would make a final trip to New Zealand/>, Switzerland/> or Kenya/>/>…However, realistically, I would imagine once I saw my family and friends, it would be hard for me to let them go and do something else.

What was funny to me were the answers from the kids, which were almost identical but completely different from ours.

Olivia said if she had three days to live, she would try her hardest to find a way to live longer. Evan said if he had three days to live, he would go find a potion that makes him live longer. That's some strong desire to live there! J

Think about it, their answers made perfect sense for a kid.  "We haven't lived long enough yet, how can you ask me a question like that?!" J
