26. The Hard Part Is Thinking
I guess that, sooner or later, almost everyone will realize how disappointing he himself or she herself is. We want to accomplish a lot but only achieve a little; we make numerous resolutions and then break them one by one; we want to do good things but the outcome often turns out mixed; we want to avoid bad things, but, once in a while, we just have to sin... The interesting thing is that, despite all these problems, usually we continue to live our lives just fine. However, although living can be so routine as to be nearly automatic, the hard part is thinking, and, once started, it is pretty hard to stop. Where is the way out? CH3CH2OH? Or, anti-depressant?
