前奏曲：据说为了配合赋格，巴赫三次修改此前奏曲，最终使二者达到外美的契合。事实上，此曲的轻快正是赋格曲理想的前奏。

赋格：三声部。由轻快的分解和弦组成。使用最不像赋格主题的乐曲为主题，除有两个对题之外，并无任何复杂的对位法。此曲亦是旧作之改作。
