和闺女一起写了两首诗。第一首，爹根据闺女（11岁）的发言记录，站在闺女的角度上写的。第二首，是闺女看了爹写的后，有点不满，自己写了另一首。这两首诗所描述的，是不是有点华人家庭共性呢？

Daddy told me,
He came to America after a long journey.
He went to a top university,
And got his Ph.D.
He learned many life stories,
To share with me.
He also earned lots of wisdom,
Eager to teach me.
My dear daddy,
I wanna put my feet my own way.
I love the arts, drama, and debate,
Not math, physics, and chemistry.
I also have my dreams,
To be an artistic lawyer,
Not a weirdo giggling in a lab every day.
My dear daddy,
I wanna put my feet my own way.
I understand how much you love me,
But I don't want you to protect me to thirty.
Thank you for teaching me computer,
But please leave me more time to play.
I won't be your copy.
I will choose what to be.

Please put your trust in me.
I am not a stubborn kid,
But I am gonna explore the world by myself,
And make mistakes which could be necessary.
I work hard like you did,
But I won't dive into science books night and day.
I will be an eagle of social justice,
Flying in the sky and soaring over the sea.

I love you, just like you love me. (really?)

He went to a top university,
And ate a lot of food.
He learned many life stories,
To share with me.
He also did a lot of weird things,
Eager to tell me.
My weird father,
I want to get a break from math books.
I love drawing, sewing and my dog,
Not algebraic expressions.
I also have a cute dog,
To be a crazy animal lady,
Not a weirdo giggling staring in a book.
My crazy parent,
I want to get a billion dogs.
I understand how much you love me,
But I don't want you to be an over protective human.
No thanks I don’t want to be another nerdy duck,
But please get me a lock on my door.
I won’t eat a squirrel,
But I’ll be smart enough to cook my own food.
My fellow human,
Please don’t make me sing this.
I am not a good singer,
But I am going to be in drama club,
And make mistakes which could be necessary.
I work hard unlike my dog,
But I won't eat steak night and day.
I will be a purple squirrel,
Flying in the sky and eating non-steak items.
My dear father,
I want a pet squirrel

I love candy, as much as you love me.
