The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both,

And be one traveller,  long I stood,

And looked down one as far as I could, 

To where it bent in the undergrowth. 

 

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim, 

Because it was grassy and wanted wear,

Though as for that the passing there,

Had worn them really about the same.

 

And both that wearing equally lay,

In leaves no step had trodden black, 

Oh, I kept the first for another day, 

Yet knowing how away leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

 

I shall be telling this with a sigh,

Somewhere ages and ages hence, 

Two roads diverged in a wood, 

And I took the one less travelled by,

And that has made all the difference. 

 

这首诗写的是,有些敢于冒险的人,选择走一条多数人不走的人生之路,从而有了别样人生。

像比尔盖茨,从大学退学创业,成为了世界级富豪。

在一次访谈中,英美文学专业毕业的翁帆,用了这首诗来描绘她自己的人生。

她说的没错,很少有受过高等教育的知识女性,会在28岁的花样年华,嫁给一个82岁的人。别说他是诺贝尔奖得主,他就是能直飞月球也不行。

嫁给爷爷辈的老杨是为了爱情吗? 我可不觉得。她爱的是伴随这个婚姻而来的生活方式。住在环境优美的专家楼,不需工作,不用为房贷医疗学费柴米油盐担心。读读书,弹弹琴,时不时陪着老杨参加各种场合的聚会。过着在象牙塔尖上的生活。即使老杨死了,她也有他留下的房子和养老金,不必再为生活担忧。

人生的路怎么走,是个人选择。每个人都会选一条自己认为最受益的路。翁帆显然是不喜欢大多数人那样,找一个同龄的丈夫,生儿育女,携手打拼,一起变老。

她是不是错过了人生道路上的很多美丽景色?
