It’s a dance music radio station I tune into from time to time.
Basically when I’m restless I always want to be more restless so I listen to dance music.
There is a section in its morning show called “War of the Roses” and it runs something like this.
A listener calls in and say s/he suspects that its partner is cheating it. And Goumba Johnny (one of the DJs) will call the cheater up and improvise: today is your lucky day you just won a dozen roses – is there anyone that you want us send the roses to? And the cheater, ubiquitously gullible (and you think they would know better given that they cheat), always says: yeah send to so and so. [Maybe the cheaters always bite the bait because they are cheap too? I wonder. ;)]
Then the cheatee, who stays on the line from the get-go, jumps in and the conversation will follow like this:
Cheatee: you son of a [beep]. How could you do this [beep] to me?!
Cheater: what the [beep]? What’s going on?
Cheatee: I tell you what’s going on. You [beep] [beep] [beep] [beep] …..
Very very artless. After listening thru this routine a couple of times I switch channel whenever this section comes up. It’s just so staged if not jaded already.
