Before Demolition

“During the time of emergency, please save our pets first.”

Our house had to be demolished for new construction. The day before we moved, the house wept. The pipe for dishwasher fell off and water flooded from kitchen to other rooms. The beds for our two dogs were all wet. So we got a plastic pen and put both in it. Usually they play together, sniff at each other, but sleep in separate beds. This is the first time they shared bed. See how embarrassed they were:

“How could a boy and a girl share bed?”

“Hay, could you move over? Please!” “Water is everywhere, you want to move? Go ahead!”

“Today is so unlucky. The house was flooded; the bed was wet; I have to share bed with him/her; Mommy is taking this embarrassing picture!”

Although both were unhappy, they did not fight at all. “Mommy, is my bed washed and dried yet?”
