Evan is always the last few if not the last one to be picked up at daycare. During the winter hours, it means that it is always dark when I pick him up. He does not complain about being the last one left but he is sensitive to the sun light. Occasionally when I had to pick him up early he would request: "Mom, I want you to pick me up when the sun is still out tomorrow". I always told him I would try but it was just impossible to do on a daily basis.
Well, since it changed to the summer hours this weekend, even though he was still within the last few, he noticed the big difference when we headed outside the daycare. The sun seemed so much brighter than before. He would look up into the sky and show me a big smile: "Mom, you pick me up when the sun is still out!" he seemed so happy about it.
"Yes! Aren't you special baby?!"
