As I move on my story, you will find out the same story all ove the place. As I mentioned earlier, for those capable persons especially with strong techincal capability, they are always in demanding and thus staying in bench. The managers believe that their job is to manage people. I have been working so long in industry, I haven't seen, at least, all my previous managers are capable to manage people as they think they are. It is a pity situation. My point of view is to cope with them until you quit. Thank you very much for your reading and comment.

He is a very funny guy with a lot of sense humor. I remember when I was a graduate student, one of the professors was fooled on April fools day. All his office was empty on that day. He did not get upset. But my boss immediately warned us that he would not tolerate that kind of sensor of humor. Thank you very much for your reading and comment.

Enjoy your writing and thank you for sharing your experience. I have been working in the same field as you. From my past ten years experience in small biotech, medium sized biotech, or large pharmaceuticals, I was very disappointed by what I observed. Good managers who have good scientific understanding and common sense, and know how to bring people together to achieve the goals are very hard to find and not able to get promoted to the higher position. In contrast, those who are at higher position often followed the same pattern, graduated from good school, white male.
