Yesterday Evan and I dropped by CVS, which by the way was all decorated for Valentine' Day, before we went home.
I got what we needed and simply told Evan that I didn't have any money left to buy anything else when he asked whether he could have some potato chips. Unlike Olivia, Evan hasn't recognized the "magic" of the credit card yet.
While I was in the line to check out, Evan pointed to a little buddle of red roses made from fabric by a box of chocolate and asked me whether I thought it was pretty and whether I liked it or not. I said yes.
At the dinner table, I happened to mention about our trip to CVS and Evan immediately said to Daddy:" Daddy! I wanted to buy some roses in CVS for Mommy for Valentine's Day, but we don't have any money left, so I didn't get it."
Thank you Evan, it's the sweet thought that counts!J
Another sweet moment:
Unlike Olivia who loved to draw when she was really young, Evan became really into drawing just about a month ago. A couple of days ago, he drew the following picture as a gift for me. It was about Daddy loving Mommy and giving her flowers on Valentine's Day.
"Look, you have flowers on your hand!" He emphasized.
