I raised my voice at Olivia and Evan again yesterday at the dinner table after they refused to try the two new dishes I cooked (not so proud of myself) – they are very reluctant to try new things. But after seeing I was angry, they finally gave in and ate.

After the dinner, I sat behind the coffee table with Olivia on my left and Evan on my right and watched one of the Blue Planet DVD series with them – we just ordered it for Evan as he has been crazy about sea animals recently that every morning the first thing he asked me was "Mom, what else live at the bottom of the sea?"

Anyway, while I was relaxed and sitting in between them, I started to felt bad about raising my voice at them (which is always the case), so I said to them: "Well, I am sorry for yelling at your guys at the dinner table. But you know how upset I am when you guys refuse to try the food that I spent so much time cooking for you."

To my surprise, Olivia turned her head away from TV and looked at me. She patted me on my shoulder a couple of times and every time she did it she would nod her head, close her eyes and then open them and say " I know, I know…" as if she sincerely felt my "pain" and understood why I raised my voice at them.

Her 小大人样 (a kid behaving like adult) was so cuteJ.
