To: Rose
My head so heavy
My body so weak
My pain and sorrow
To end I seek.
I cannot think
I cannot see
A thickening blackness
Descends on me
Oppressing, smothering
I cannot breathe
I desperately beg
This weight to leave
Through twists and turns
Our lives do take
A maze of madness
I cannot escape
Tears come unbidden
Like blood it seeps
No bandage halts
My heart it weeps
I hate this life
What I have become
The wasted wreckage
Feel like half a man
