保证让孩子乐意说 Thank You的故事

前面分享过在中国时的小故事,这里分享出来后的一个小故事:为什么要说Thank you.
One day my daughter and I were taking bus to a place. To arrive at our destination, we first took a bus, then a train, and then another bus.
It was rush hour and raining. When we boarded the first bus it was full. A gentleman gave her his seat and I reminded her to say Thank-You right away. She was kind of hesitant and talked very quiet.
This is what I said: " Sweetie, the more Thank-You you say, the more helps you receive. You only have the opportunity to say Thank-You when people help you. If you don't get any help, you won't get any chance to say Thank-You. On the other hand, the more Thank-You you say, the more grateful you are. A person with grateful mind will behave very nice and with great courtesy, which is always welcomed. When you are welcomed as you touch their heart, people are more likely to help you."
This impressed her a lot. When were got on to the train a lady gave her a seat, this time she said Thank-You without my reminding her. To my surprise, a grandpa gave her his seat on the second bus we took. When we got off that bus I repeated the "More Thank-You You Say The More Helps You Receive". That was the game change moment.
So next time, you can tell your kid in a similar way so that s/he would form this good habit that will benefit in a life time.

PS. I got some feedback claiming that this way of teaching is benefit-orientated, I wanted to stress that:

What I tried to convey is that if you stay in a grateful mood, you would say thank-you to whatever help you get. Otherwise, let us say if you think you deserve it as you are  a kid (or old man, et al) you would not bother to say thank-you...

What I was NOT trying to convey is to get help by saying thank-you, that is the point got misinterpreted.
