Last year when we visited the Canadian Rockies, we bought a Parks Canada Discovery Pass which is good for 12 full months. To make more use out of it (cost us CAD $136.4), we decided to go to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (PEI) this June. Our itinerary was:
Day 1: Fly to Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Day 2: Day trip to Peggys Cove, Mahone Bay and Lunenburg.
Day 3: Day trip to Annapolis Valley.
Day 4/5: Cape Breton Island.
Day 6/7: PEI.
Day 8: Drive back to Halifax through New Brunswick.
Day 9: Fly home.
It was a nice short trip with lots of driving (3000 km in 8 days), cool weather (50/60s for high temperature) and near empty tourist sites at many places. We were told that people don't come here for vacation until July. No wonder we got good prices on lodging :)
