Newfoundland (1) - To Brigus

Weather looked good in St. John's this morning, we decided to check out St. John's first before heading out. Went to Signal Hill, Quidi Vidi Village, downtown, and Cape Spear before driving to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve, then to Brigus, and quickly checked out Bay Roberts Shoreline Heritage Walking Trail.

Driving to Cape St. Mary's Ecological Reserve took a while (2 hours from St. John's), and the weather was good till we reached Branch where Route 92 turns into Route 100, and boom the fog started. It was so heavy we thought for sure we were not going to see any bird at Cape St. Mary's today. But when we got there, the guy who worked there told us: "today is not so bad, you will see the bird". And he was right, we saw, heard and smelled thousands of birds on the "bird rock".

Originally I wanted to book a B & B in Brigus, but the good ones were all gone, so I booked a B & B near Bay Roberts which turned out to be really good.
