Wedding of the Week: Cara-Tres Wedlock and Kevin Stevenson

Blantyre couple Cara-Tres and Kevin tie the knot in lavish ceremony at St Joseph's Chapel followed by a recetion at Blantyre Miner's Welfare.

The couple: Cara, from Blantyre, is a housing assistant with South Lanarkshire Council. Kevin, also from Blantyre, is a sales consultant from Glasgow.

Where they met: The couple met on a night out in Hamilton in 2012.

The ceremony: They were married in St Josephs Chapel, Blantyre, on September 5, 2015, by Fr Rafal Sobieszuk. The reception was held in Blantyre Miners’ Welfare.

Attire: The bride wore a dress from Kinnies Bridal Classics in Motherwell, and Kevin wore a grey kilt from Kilt Co in Hamilton.

Bridal party: Bridesmaids were Cara’s sister Jude Wedlock, Cara’s best friend Ashleigh Larkin, their two nieces Ellie Stevenson and Nicola Lyons, and Grace Mottram, Cara’s second cousin, who came all the way from Manchester to attend. The flower girl was Cara and Kevin’s daughter Hope Stevenson. The best men were Antony Steven and Stephen Quinn. Ushers were Ryan McGunnigal and Ryan Ward and the page boy was their nephew Kyle McAlpine.

Honeymoon: The couple went to Disneyland Paris with their daughter.

Thanks: The couple would like to thank their parents and close friends and family for all their help on the lead-up to the wedding. They would also like to say a special thanks to all the staff at the Blantyre Miners’ Welfare for making sure their whole day went to plan.
