The best New York Fashion Week moments in history

New York Fashion Week is upon us and, from Marc Jacobs to Diane Von Furstenberg, some of the industry's biggest names are set to showcase their latest collections.

But before we get to grips with the new, let's take a moment to look back at the New York Fashion Weeks of yesteryear. From Kate Moss exploding onto the scene at Calvin Klein, to Marc Jacobs' original Perry Ellis grunge collection, some incredible moments in fashion history have been made at the Big Apple's biannual event.

First up, we're remembering Oscar de la Renta, and his final show for his eponymous label in September 2014, before he passed away at the age of 82 a month later.

An ethical and sustainable ethos, with pieces created from start to finish in London, is at the core of the company. Kane plans to share 50% of the profits from the business between two organisations that support women's education; one in Kenya, and one closer to home in Bath.

The former of these will help support young women who have exceeded the age limit of the orphanage in which they grew up in as they transition into adulthood, by contributing towards living expenses, education and medical bills, and the latter will contribute towards a grant for Bath University who have pledged to get more women involved with the STEM subjects.

Easy, affordable office-appropriate pieces, that you can wear guilt free. Whats not to love?
