Love and cats

Love and cats [1]

François -Auguste-René Chateaubriand [2]

… I love such independent and almost ungrateful characters of the cat, which makes it not attached to anyone and such indifferent way with which it passes from salons to its native gutters; when people caress it, it makes a big back, but this is a physic pleasure which it feels, and not, like the dog, one stupid satisfaction of love and being loyal to its master who thanks it with kicks. For a buffoon mistreatment of the cat I work on its rehabilitation and I hope to make it an animal in fashion…
