	Students pre-register for fall and spring semesters by entering bid requests online using OPUS. The OPUS pathway to enter bids is Academics > Enrollment > Emory College Bidding.   Bidding requests may be made online during a specified period of time for each class (Senior, Junior, Sophomore, Freshman). Students may use the system and make adjustments before their bids are processed. Students who fail to bid by the deadline for their class may enter bids during the bidding request period for the next class. At the close of a given bidding request period, all the available information is processed. Once a student's bids have been run and a schedule recorded in the system, the bidding request screen will no longer be accessible. Students in this pre-registration bidding period are then scheduled for courses. Schedule changes can be made only during the add/drop/swap period. The opening date for the schedule change period for each term is available on the Registrar's Important Dates.   Schedule changes will be made via OPUS. Students who fail to make bidding requests on or before the final day for the Emory College bidding period can register for classes during the add/drop/swap period. The OPUS pathway to make enrollment changes during the schedule change period is Academics > Enrollment > Enrollment and Add/Drop/Swap . During bidding, a "permission required course" cannot be processed without a valid permission number. A student's course schedule will be available on OPUS upon completion of the scheduling period for his/her class. Registrar staff will be available to help students with their bidding questions Monday, August 27, 2007 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at InfoCommons 3rd Floor of Woodruff LIbrary. Freshmen bids will be posted before 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2007.
