Dear Mr. Philippe Dauman

The release of Kung Fu Panda is scheduled for June, of which the main character is a giant panda. We the undersigned would appreciate a short introduction on the tragedy of the giant panda before each screening allowing the audience to be educated on the disaster at the sole living range of the giant panda. By creating a short introduction, this would be a very economical form of educating the public then creating separate commercials presented in the US, European, and Asian market.
By doing this we connect this great movie with the earthquake relief as well, showing the commitment of the Chinese people’s strength to persevere and our global commitment to support people in need of the global response. Of course this will increase the positive publicity for your company.
One of the main casting members Mr. Jackie Chan is in epicenter attempting to help the earthquake survivors. We honor his commitment to helping the people of this region. We know the movie industry has been credited for motivating people to respond positively to the great tragedies of the 20th and 21st century.
It would be greatly helpful if the producers could create or identify funds for families watching the Kung Fu Panda to give money to help relieve this tragedy. Finally, if the producers could individually donate a small portion of the profits to help the people and the giant pandas, it would definitely show how wonderful the Hollywood community is for all people. We thank you in advance for the help in responding to this global crisis.
Sincerely the undersigned,
