谢盛友将代表CSU（基督教社会联盟）竞选2020年班贝格市议员。他2014年3月16日以CSU（基督教社会联盟）党内最高票之10621票当选班贝格市议员。当时的竞选口号“Ente gut，alles gut ！”依然让人记忆犹新。他在班贝格扎根已有31年。
