Cardigans are must haves for a new Englander. I have sewn M6844 several times before using light weight silk or wool knit fabric. However when I saw this pattern from McCall, I was attracted by the big collar on view D immediately. It looks like half Cardigan half casual coat. I have some sweater knits in my stash I can use to make view D. It is March. The temperature is still in the mid-40s in Boston. A casual, warm and cozy cardi-coat is a great option to have.
It is very easy to make, very loose fitting. Besides the big collar, I also love the big pockets. Who does not love big pockets?
I started wearing it right after making it so it is very wrinkly right now. I don’t bother to take more photos so I reused the photos from my last post.
I still have a lot of soft knits fabric in my stash right now. I definitely will make A or B for the spring.
