《望月有怀》- 李白
清泉映疏松,
不知几千古。
寒月摇清波,
流光入窗户。
对此空长吟,
思君意何深。
无因见安道,
兴尽愁人心。
A Five-Character Verse by Li Bai
(Musing while watching the Moon)
The sparse pines mirrored in the spring clear,
How long have they been there? Oh I don’t know.
The cold moonlight strokes th' ripples far and near;
Those fireflies at my window to and fro.
Alas, I heave a long sigh at the sky,
What gladdens mine eyne maketh me think of thee.
As if I couldn’t meet Dai Kui that great guy,
A nice trip, yet sans thee, it saddens me.
